Col. (Ret.) Richard Kemp

Richard joined the British Army the day after he left school, and spent the next 30 years in some of the world’s most notorious conflict hotspots, commanding British troops on the front line in, among others, Iraq, the Balkans and Northern Ireland. He finally served as the commander of the British forces in Afghanistan. His bravery and dedication earned him the coveted title Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Richard has dedicated his life to fighting terrorism and insurgency. Between 2002 to 2006, he headed the international terrorism intelligence team at the British Prime Minister’s Office. He also chaired the strategic intelligence group at COBRA, the UK national crisis management committee. For all his trouble, Richard’s name was discovered on an al-Qaeda hit list in Syria in 2013.

Richard is a writer, prolific journalist, media commentator, motivational speaker and a strategic consultant. He has been present during each conflict between Israel and Hamas since 2008 and has been in Israel since the beginning of the current Gaza war.
